With whom we share your information

Other Users: Users and site visitors will be able to view the personal information that you provide on your author and/or marketplace page that is meant to be publicly available. For authors this includes your pen name (or real name if that is what you write under), author biography, books published through us, and descriptions of your books. For marketplace service providers, this includes your business name (or real name if you do not provide a business name), description of your services offered, and a rating of your services based on reviews from verified customers. All transactions are handled through our service and your email address will remain known only to us. We strongly suggest that you do not provide your personal contact information to others.

Authorized Service Providers: We handle our author royalty payments and marketplace transactions through Amazon and PayPal. We act as an intermediary for all marketplace transactions. In order to pay for services or receive payment, you will log in separately to your Amazon or PayPal account. Amazon’s or PayPal’s Privacy Policies apply once you do that.

Other Situations: We may release your personal information in response to a subpoena, a court order, or a request for cooperation from a law enforcement or other government agency.

Third-party websites

There are many places on our website where you may click on a link to access other websites that do not operate under this privacy policy. For example, if you click on a link to purchase a book you will be taken to a website that we do not control. If you have an account with us, you have the ability to review and update your personal information online by logging into your account.

After you close your account, you will not be able to log in to our website or access any of your personal information. You may open a new account at any time if you initiated the closing of your prior account. If you close your account, we may still retain certain information associated with your account for recordkeeping, royalty payments and enforcement of our Terms of Use.

You can choose to not provide us with certain information, but that can limit the use of our website.

While you cannot remove your information from our database, you may remove or update information on your My Account page.

You may update your email preferences at any time to opt-in or out of communications from us.
